What type of implants will be best for me?
This is a personal decision. At Athenix, we will work closely with you to select the type and size of implant that will look most attractive on your frame. There are many more types of implants, both silicone and saline, to choose from.
How large should my implants be?
When choosing the size of implant, it is important that you know what the implants will look like on your body. We make it possible to visualize the final result and offer countless “before and after” images of patients with a similar body type to assist in selecting the most attractive size.
What type of implant is better, saline or silicone?
There is no real way to say which is better, as they are different. Silicone implants have a very natural, soft feel which is generally thought to better mimic natural breast tissue but require a larger incision to place. Saline implants are filled after placement so some variation in size is possible, and the incision is smaller. These implants may not be the best choice for very slim patients.
What are teardrop implants?
Teardrop implants are in a more natural shape than round implants. The truth is that either type can produce a very natural look when the surgery is performed by a highly-skilled plastic surgeon.
How long will I need to take off work for breast augmentation surgery?
