As a fellowship-trained aesthetic plastic surgeon, Dr. Lisa Hwang is committed to helping her patients achieve their aesthetic goals. She comes to Athenix Body Sculpting Institute from the Bay Area with a wealth of knowledge, extensive training, and considerable experience. As a California native, Dr. Hwang moved to Pennsylvania were she earned her medical degree and completed a general surgery residency from Drexel University, followed by a plastic surgery research fellowship from NYU Langone Medical Center in New York, a plastic surgery residency from the University of Illinois at Chicago, as well as a dedicated Aesthetic Surgery fellowship endorsed by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

In her spare time, Dr. Hwang is a fitness, music, and fashion enthusiast. A Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, she enjoys kickboxing, roadbiking, and scenic hikes, but she also finds solace in playing classical violin and piano. She is passionate about everything relating to health, lifestyle, and beauty. From the West Coast, to the East Coast, with a stop in the Midwest, she is able to draw from expansive personal experiences to provide a unique and comprehensive perspective as your plastic surgeon.
