Originally trained by Professor Jeffrey Klein, M.D., the founder of modern day liposuction techniques, Dr. Shideler is not only a specialist in body contouring, he is a recognized expert in his field. Dr. Shideler is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery with an extensive background in minimally invasive body contouring procedures.
Dr. Shideler started his career as a serviceman in the United States Army and continued on to the United States Coast Guard as well as the United States Army Reserve. He dedicated over 30 years of service to the military where he assisted and operated on hundreds of injured soldiers on and off the field. He served as a hospital commander and also became a mobilization asset to the men and women around him. He has served in the United States, Viet Nam, and Saudi Arabia as well as numerous hospital ships, including the USS Sanctuary. He is extremely dedicated to his country and the service men and women who fight for it. Dr. Shideler has been awarded over a dozen decorations/badges for his dedication and excellence in the service.
Dr. Shideler has received extensive medical training throughout his years in the military and in his various avenues of training and education in the medical field. He graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Chemistry from Washington & Jefferson College in Pennsylvania and continued on to get his Master’s Degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He then proceeded to medical school and received his Medical Degree from Temple University. He has dedicated the majority of his life to medicine and helping others, and feels that serving others in his area of expertise is genuinely his true passion.
