What is the Recovery Time of Vaser Liposuction?

In the past, liposuction would come with heavy downtime, taking weeks or even months to fully recover from the pain and swelling because of the procedure. However, at Athenix we employ an advanced form of liposuction named VASER Liposuction to significantly reduce the recovery time.

With VASER, you can expect to return to your normal routine within a few days, making this form of liposuction ideal for busy people.

What to Expect from the Vaser Liposuction Procedure

With the help of a local anesthetic, your treatment area will be injected with a solution to minimize bruising and bleeding. Next, VASER lipo comes into play and delivers a minimal level of ultrasonic waves that are specifically targeted to emulsify or liquefy your fat cells.

Specially designed micro-cannulas are then used to remove the emulsified fluids without affecting the tissue matrix. Once completed, the volume and youth of your hands, face and other body parts are restored through natural fat transfer.

The VASER liposuction technique will bring you smooth contours without much surgical effort, which in turn leads to a faster recovery. However, if you’re thinking that VASER liposuction is not for you, think again as a recent survey has revealed the following benefits of this revolutionary liposuction method over traditional:

  • Decreased number of re-treatments
  • Improved skin retraction
  • Fast recovery
  • Smooth contours in treated areas of the body
  • Minimal bruising and pain

The Recovery Phase

When it comes to recovery, you will be able to recover much quicker than traditional liposuction as there is minimal surgical effort. But factors such as the number of treated areas and your overall health also play crucial roles in the exact length of recovery after VASER liposuction.

Most patients feel like themselves within a few days, but recovery time varies from patient to patient as well as size and number of areas treated. To be on the safe side, we always recommend waiting a few weeks before you resume intense athletic activity. It is vital to schedule follow-up visits with your doctor to ensure your body recovers smoothly.

Recovery Recommendations

Even if you’re at your ideal weight, various body parts that are unresponsive to exercise may be contoured by this procedure. As a result, you may achieve the physique you have always longed for.

However, it does not necessarily mean that you call it quits on exercise. It’s important you remember that exercise and proper diet goes hand in hand with surgery if you wish to achieve and maintain your desired figure.

Get Superior Results

Considering the factors mentioned above, it is safe to say that VASER liposuction can help you in time for summer and throughout the year. Contact our Bellevue, Fresno, Irvine, Pasadena or Portland locations for a liposuction consultation today!

Practice Policy Update Regarding COVID-19 Your safety is our top priority.

To our valued patients,

I hope that you and your families have stayed healthy and well during this difficult time. We want to thank all of the essential workers that provided us with critical services during this period and also to all of you that remained at home preventing the further spread of the virus.

As we re-open our facilities our priority remains the safety and well being of our patients and staff. To that end, we have implemented a number of important safety measures at all of our facilities.

  1. All patients, staff, and caregivers will be screened via a questionnaire and temperature for Covid-19 symptoms at the front entrance.
  2. Only those individuals that pass the screening will be allowed into the facility.
  3. Patients can only bring 1 other person with them to the appointment.
  4. All patients (and caregivers) need to wear a mask while in the facility. Please bring a cloth or other mask with you to the appointment.
  5. Physical distancing will be in effect in the office waiting room and throughout the office.
  6. Once the physical distance capacity has been reached in the waiting room, patients will be asked to wait in their vehicles and will be called to come in at their appointment time.
  7. All surfaces in the office will be cleaned and disinfected at least on an hourly basis.
  8. All patient rooms will be cleaned and disinfected after each patient use.
  9. Caregivers waiting for patients after surgery will be asked to not wait in the facility.
  10. All staff will be wearing PPE in accordance with CDC guidelines.

We understand that these continue to be uncertain and difficult times however we remain committed to your health, well being, safety, and ensuring you the best outcome possible.
